6 Apps Every Home Buyer Needs to Download
Buying a home isn’t just one big decision, its a whole bunch of big decisions. Between keeping track of different houses and mortgage rates and features and neighborhoods.. well it can all be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve figured out which apps you need to download to make your home buying process a little simpler.
1. Around Me (Free)
Around Me gives you a break down of your surrounding area. That means banks, restaurants, grocery stores and more. With the built in GPS, you can figure out exactly how far away is just right.
2. Houzz (Free)
Houzz is THE interior design app. With everything from rustic furniture to modern layouts, Houzz displays gorgeous rooms, color palettesand furniture combinations fit for any home. Try looking through Houzz when you’re deciding between your top 3 homes, it may make the vision a little easier to see.
3. Walkscore (Free)
Walkscore breaks your potential neighborhood down in terms of walkability. How close is your morning coffee spot? Can you bike to the local Ralph’s? Walkscore also tells you the safest route for your evening dog walk or just a quick run to the store. A must have for anyone looking to live close to the local amenities.
4. GreatSchools (Free)
GreatSchools maps out the different school zones in different neighborhoods. Not only that, it even offers ratings, reviews and comparisons to help you make an educated decision about your new neighborhood. This app is also a great way to pin down that perfect neighborhood when you start shopping for homes.
5. Any Mortgage App
There are a slew of mortgage apps ready for download. They range from Free to $9.99. I recommend reading reviews on a few different ones and picking which ever is right for you. Having a mortgage app in hand is a great way to plug in the numbers and see what is going to work best when it comes time to close.
